The Norwich and District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has raised concerns over plans to transform the Gatehouse pub into a place of worship and community centre.

The group says the building should remain in use as a pub as it is a part of the city's heritage and too many pubs have already been lost.

Richard Dixon, from CAMRA, said: "It is of great significance to the city and it should remain as a pub.

"It is historically important.

"It is another pub gone in the city of Norwich.

"There are plenty of other buildings you could convert, there should be a chance to save it.

"CAMRA is there to save pubs and encourage people to socialise.

"The use has got nothing to do with........
