‘Phenomenal’ first year as Norwich Castle keep revamp attracts 800 visitors a day

The city landmark reopened in August last year after a five-year-long Royal Palace Reborn project, which saw the Norman keep transformed.

And, 12 months on, bosses at Norfolk Museums Service said the multi-million-pound revamp has been attracting an average of more than 800 people each day.

The busiest day was August 29 last year, when 2,032 people had tickets to explore the new-look museum.

And museum bosses said that nearly 20,000 school children and young people from more than 130 schools, nurseries and further education colleges........
