New Delhi: The Opposition on Wednesday called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, amid reports that other two election commissioners were against the steps taken by the commission as many as 14 times in 10 months in the Special Intensive Research (SIR) rollout

The reactions came after a report was published by The Indian Express on its Wednesday’s edition that questions were raised on the issue of SIR within the commission itself. The reports said that concerns were raised by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
