New Delhi: A large retrospective cohort study has shed light on factors associated with fast-growing lung cancers detected on chest CT scans. Researchers reviewed data of 1,693 patients with pathologically confirmed primary lung cancer who had undergone at least two CT scans prior to diagnosis. Tumours were classified as fast-growing when their volume or mass doubling time was under 400 days. The findings reveal clear clinical and radiological patterns linked to rapid tumour progression.
