New Delhi: It is do or die time for the two factions within the Karnataka BJP. With BJP’s organisational elections around the horizon in Karnataka, the tussle between the BJP State President B Y Vijayendra and the faction led by former union minister and Bijapur MLA Basangouda Yatnal has only intensified.

The Yatnal’s faction has proposed the name of former Karnataka minister B Sriramulu to take over from Vijayendra, son of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa. According to media reports, the Yatnal faction has been camping in Delhi since the last few days to meet the party’s central leadership and push for Vijayendra’s replacement. Meanwhile, a member of this group in Delhi has claimed that the “good news” is on its way very soon. Flanked by Yatnal and Ramesh Jarkiholi (Gokak MLA) , former union minister GM Siddeswara on Wednesday said that the “high command will soon give the good news”. When the media queried as to what was the “good news”, Siddeswara did not elaborate but added that “one can understand what it will be”.
