Delhi exit polls show AAP may face electoral reality check, has BJP breached its fort?
New Delhi: Finally, there is some good news for the BJP in Delhi. Going by the Exit Polls at the conclusion of voting for the assembly elections in Delhi, the BJP looks to have a clear edge and is set to form the government. For the first time in its electoral history, AAP is facing an electoral reality check. AAP is incurring major losses in almost all the poll predictions and is unlikely to form the government. The Exit Polls also reveal that Congress would barely win one or two seats in Delhi. However, it would be too early to call the Congress irrelevant in Delhi. Going by the losses that AAP is facing, Congress would surely have a big role to play in its debacle.
According to Chanakya Strategies, while BJP is getting 39 to 44 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, AAP would get anything between 25 to 28 seats. The Matrize has predicted 35 to 40 seats for BJP while it gives 32 to 37 seats to AAP. People’s Insight has given 40 to 44 seats to BJP while AAP is likely to be restricted to 25 to 29 seats.
If these predictions come true on February 8 when actual results are declared, it will be obvious that AAP has failed to effectively........
