‘Can’t even fake it right’: Kiren Rijiju’s jab at Congress Party’s AI crowd post

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday mocked the Congress for sharing an AI-generated image to show crowds at the Ramlila Maidan at Sunday's INDIA Bloc's rally. He said that the turnout was so low for the event that the Opposition was forced to resort to AI to show crowds.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju hit out at the Congress for allegedly sharing AI-generated images of the crowd at the Ramlila Maidan, to represent the gathering at Sunday’s Opposition rally. He attached an image shared by Congress MP from Telangana, Vamsi Gaddam, to claim that the party had to use AI to show crowds at the INDIA Bloc rally.

In the post on social media platform, ‘X’, Rijiju wrote, “Even the fake AI photo to show that Ramlila ground was full is not done properly by the fake narrative team of Congress Party!”

The image used by Gaddam was also shared by several other Congress leaders on their respective social media handles. This included former MP and Congress Working Committee member Jagdish Thakor on his social media handle, ‘X’.
