Sensex, Nifty open in the green: Trent jumps 5%, check major gainers and laggards

Despite most Asian markets trading in the red, the Indian market opened in the green today. A few monutes after trading began, Sensex 30 was at 74,227.19, up 0.10% or 76.15 points while Nifty 50 was at 22,952.00, up 0.066% or 15.25 points.

Major gainer and laggards stocks

In early trade in the Sensex 30 pack, the major gainer stocks were TRENT, INFY, TECHM, SUNPHARMA and TCS while the major laggards stocks were TATASTEEL, BEL, ULTRACEMCO, SBIN and ADANIPORTS.
