‘You didn’t protect my son’: Bereaved father heckles Netanyahu at October 7 memorial

The heckling came as Netanyahu told the memorial gathering that Israel would continue pursuing those responsible for the October 7 attack. During his speech, he said there would be ‘no forgiveness’ for those responsible for the killings, torture, destruction and hostage-taking.

New Delhi: Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was heckled by a bereaved father during a state memorial ceremony marking the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack. The emotional interruption came as Netanyahu was delivering a speech at Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem on October 5.

Yaakov Godo, whose son Tom Godo was killed in the aftermath of the October 7 attack, shouted at Netanyahu, “You didn’t protect my son on October 7th; you didn’t protect 1,200 victims murdered in one day.........
