India summons Pakistani envoy over infiltration, rejects allegations against BSF

India summoned the Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires to protest what it called the continued facilitation of illegal cross-border infiltration. The MEA rejected Pakistan’s allegations about an October 2 incident in Punjab’s Ferozepur sector. It said three individuals entered Indian territory and ignored repeated BSF warnings to return.

New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Pakistan high commission and lodged a strong protest over what it described as the continued facilitation of illegal infiltration from Pakistan.

The ministry also rejected as “baseless and motivated” Pakistan’s allegations concerning an October 2 incident along the International Border in Punjab’s Ferozepur sector.
