Cyclone Murasu to hit Andhra coast late November 2, Odisha on high alert

Cyclone Murasu is likely to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between late November 2 and early November 3, with gusts reaching 120 kmph, the IMD said. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ordered advance preparations for rescue operations and cancelled his Delhi visit. Odisha also announced a high alert in its southern region and ordered evacuations from vulnerable areas.

New Delhi: Cyclone Murasu is likely to strengthen into a severe cyclonic storm by Monday morning and cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast between late November 2 and early November 3, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
