NYPD cops show their heroism yet again after Queens explosion— every New Yorker should cheer

New York cops risk their lives every day to protect the rest of us, but some heroism is more obvious.

Several officers on Thursday rushed back into a building where they’d been injured in a massive explosion to get civilians out to safety.

Police were at a home’s front door, responding to a 911 call of a domestic dispute involving a man with a knife and perhaps flammable liquid, when a sudden explosion threw several of them off their feet and into a gate.

Undeterred, the cops got right back up — despite their injuries and lack of fire-protection gear — and headed straight into the home to save residents, even as the flames grew more........
