Andrew is fighting his criminal case, but I know why it won’t save him

Like a jack-in-the-box on steroids, he refuses to lie down. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has popped up again – this time declaring war on Thames Valley Police. His challenge to the legality of the search warrants that allowed officers to raid his Sandringham home, and the house he was kicked out of in Windsor, is a bold move, to say the least. It’s also another colossal headache for the King.

We all remember the picture of the former prince slumped in the back of a police car after being arrested on his 66th birthday in February. It made headlines around the world. Were those staring eyes a sign that he was scared? Or embarrassed? Or confused? Well, it now seems that those eyes belonged to a man seething with anger at the way he had been treated. Clearly he is still hopping mad – and he wants everyone to know it.
