Trump Reacts To Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Resignation By Doubling Down On Insults

President Donald Trump on Saturday reacted to the sudden resignation of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Republican, Georgia), a week after he publicly pulled support from the longtime MAGA ally.
Greene announced her official departure from Congress in a video on Friday. Trump first reacted to her exit by phone on that same night, telling ABC News White House correspondent Rachel Scott, “I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great.” The president started posting on social media earlier than usual Saturday, doubling down on his joy.
“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers, and not wanting to face a Primary Challenger with a strong Trump Endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it ‘quits,’” he wrote on Truth Social at 6:45 a.m.
