Police officers are injured by football hooligans in Glasgow whilst trying to assist paramedics.

Teachers are left with broken bones after attacks by pupils in Scottish schools.

Violence is out of control in Scotland - specifically violence against folk trying to earn a living. 

Each of those incidents involved someone going about their daily employment. Nobody should fear for their safety at work.

Evidently, police officers run the risk of violence, but being bottled by thugs who claim to support Celtic while helping paramedics? 

Is there no gutter low enough for these hoodlums?

In Holyrood - our seat of government - the newly elected MSP Q Manivannan needed protection following days of relentless abuse. 

Manivannan holds a student visa. The Scottish Parliament has previously voted to allow everyone with the right to live in Scotland to stand in elections, regardless of their citizenship status.

So there is nothing unusual, illegal or wrong about Manivannan’s election - unless, of course, you’re a transphobic racist.

If that’s the case, then Manivannan makes a perfect target. 

Both the right-wing media and politicians, specifically the Scottish Tories and Reform UK, ramped up the situation - because that’s what happens these days. 

And we wonder why trust has collapsed in politics and the media?

The referee who awarded Celtic a penalty in their 3-2 win over Motherwell spent a night at home with his family under police surveillance in case of attack.
