I've known Kaye Adams for 40 years - this is the real story behind her BBC suspension
Kaye Adams has been suspended from the BBC but these allegations aren't representative of the woman I know, says showbusiness writer Brian Beacom
Kaye Adams is more measured than a Savile Row suit. The broadcaster who grew up in Grangemouth has refined a career which has taken her to the top of her profession. In television, she’s a regular ITV Loose Woman. In radio, the BBC value her so much she’s paid north of £150k a year to take telephone calls.
I've known Adams for four decades. She is a Capricorn; cautious, and serious, on the outside at least. She very much likes to be in control of her destiny, a calculator who has long been regarded as a creature with a need to be in control of her life and career. "I'm a bit like Communist Russia," she once admitted, grinning. "I like a five-year plan.”
