Disney cuts hundreds more jobs for third round of layoffs under new CEO

The latest wave of cuts is the latest since Bob Iger’s successor took over as chief executive in March.

Hundreds more layoffs just hit Disney, as workers had been anticipating. 

On Tuesday, Deadline was the first to report that the company’s most recent cuts would impact several hundred employees. A spokesperson for Disney told the outlet that the layoffs primarily impact those in human resources and technology roles. 

Prior to the announcement, Disney had warned in its August earnings report that cuts were looming: “We remain highly focused on reducing costs across the enterprise to create incremental capacity to invest for growth and are evaluating a variety of levers, including reductions in labor and SG&A [selling, general,........
