Wasn’t so long ago Pierre Poilievre had the momentum, drew the huge crowds at rallies across Canada, attracted the young and the working class, appeared to be on his way to the top.

Mark Carney is the prime minister of a Liberal majority government and the Conservatives are in opposition where Poilievre leads the charge with no plans to put down his sword.

“Listen, the people in whom I inspired hope have the exact same problems as they did, I regret, when I launched this adventure.

“They are still counting on me to be their fighter and I’m still going to keep fighting for them.”

But how does Poilievre break through the love-in with Carney where the prime minister rides high in the polls, nothing bad seems to stick to him and many Canadians, and even some deluded Conservatives, cling to Carney like a security blanket, fawning over him and his supposed brilliance?
