Tucked away behind a cottage in Henstead, near Beccles, the garden has become one of East Anglia’s most unusual horticultural attractions, drawing visitors from across the UK and overseas.

Mr Brogan, who created the garden from scratch more than two decades ago, said he is preparing to welcome international visitors as the garden enters its regular summer opening season.

“We have just started our open every Sunday period here at the garden,” he said.

“It takes a long time to get the garden ready and the exotic plants to have a decent size to give it a real tropical feel, which we definitely have at the moment.”

Among the furthest visitors expected this year is a coach party from Estonia.
