The incident happened at Sir John Leman High School in Beccles shortly before the summer holidays and resulted in a police investigation.

According to the family of the injured pupil, the assault left the child with significant facial injuries which has had a lasting impact on their wellbeing.

The parent said the attack continues to affect the teenager months on, while the pupil who carried out the assault is still attending the school.
