Boy, 3, thrown into crocodile pit has five surgeries with 'at least' two more planned

The child faces "at least" two further operations, his parents have said, after the incident at Johnson’s of Old Hurst in Huntingdon on June 18.

The tot sustained serious injuries including a broken arm and pelvis after falling 15ft and being attacked by a crocodile in the pit.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he has remained with his family for the more than two weeks. 

One of the surgeries he needs includes a nerve reconstruction in his arm, but it is uncertain how much function he will have in his arms, wrists and hands.

A 30-year-old man from Norfolk, thought to have learning difficulties and to have been with two carers at the time, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Officers deemed the suspect unfit for interview and bailed him until September 18.
