Demonstrations have been taking place outside RAF Barnham in Suffolk, a site under consideration by the government to house asylum seekers.

The protests follow recent violent unrest in nearby Thetford, Norfolk, where six people were arrested:

 Brian Thompson, aged 68, who has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

A man in his 30s arrested for public order and a man in his 50s arrested for being drunk and disorderly, who have both been released and issued with conditional cautions.

A man in his 30s arrested for public order and harassment, who has been released on bail.

A man aged in his 40s arrested for inciting racial hatred, drug possession and public order who........
