£10 million funding secured for new urgent treatment centre at Norfolk hospital
The UK government has confirmed that the large slice in funding will be spent on building the new urgent treatment centre at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.
The government says the centre will support patients with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions at the hospital, “reducing pressure on the main A&E department” and “allowing emergency teams to focus on the most seriously ill patients”.
