Vacant building near town centre restaurant could be converted into flats
It follows a planning application that was put forward by Mr Akin Uzun for the development.
The building, on High Street, has been described as 'dilapidated' as well as no longer providing "a viable use".
The proposals involve the creation of a one-bed unit and a two-bed unit near the Taste of Istanbul restaurant.
They also include external works and replacing the existing wall on the southern elevation.
A small courtyard area, dedicated refuse storage, and secure cycle parking will be incorporated as part of the development.
A planning statement said the flats would "enhance an underused building" within the town, while "contributing positively to the character of the locality".
The statement added that it will deliver "a high quality residential development" and make "a modest but valuable" contribution to housing supply.
A decision on the plans is due to be made by Breckland Council.
