The two-storey facility was put forward by LNT Care Developments for land near Westfield Road in Dereham.

It will feature a hair salon, cinema room, sky bar, activity spaces, private dining area, communal lounge, gardens, single rooms and en-suite wetroom facilities.

The home will be built on vacant land previously occupied by builders' merchants Jewson before its closure in 2019.

It will have up to 25 parking spaces, which has sparked concerns among locals over whether this is sufficient.
