New chairman appointed to help shape £20m seaside town revival
Lowestoft MP Jess Asato and East Suffolk Council have appointed Mel McGee as the independent chair of Lowestoft’s £20 million Pride in Place programme.

Lowestoft Central is set to benefit from £20m over the next 10 years as part of a scheme to support local jobs, community facilities, green spaces and measures to make the town’s streets safer and stronger.

In September last year Lowestoft was selected as one of 169 areas to receive £2m a year for the next decade through the government's £5bn Pride In Place programme.
