Bid for flats on busy city roundabout emerge
Plans to turn the first floor of the old Lloyds TSB bank at 96 - 98 Harvey Lane by the Heartsease roundabout into homes have been lodged with Norwich City Council.
The scheme would create a pair of two-bedroom flats.
Norfolk County Council recently spent £4.4 million to upgrade the Heartsease roundabout and put in a 20mph speed limit in an effort to make it safer after concerns were raised.

Plans submitted to the council explain: "The building was previously used as a bank, with the ground floor comprising the main banking floor and meeting rooms and the first floor comprising staff amenities, storage and meeting rooms.
"While Lloyd’s bank stopped operating on the site in mid-2023, the use of the site as a commercial site has not changed.
"The site has remained vacant since this time, in-tact as a bank and has been, and is currently available for lease as a commercial premises (Use Class E), confirming the site falls under the Class E use category and therefore, is eligible for Class MA."
