Bliss Wylie, who sits on Norwich City Council, was condemned by the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC) after saying the Greens’ controversial motion declaring Zionism racist “had very little to do with Jewish people”.

The JLC branded the comments “ignorant” and an “absurd and dangerous erasure of Jewish experience and identity”.

The Labour group at City Hall has also lodged a formal complaint with the council’s monitoring officer, accusing the councillor of antisemitism.
