The drink that started with a hangover and a lightbulb moment
The two friends had known each other for around a decade, meeting when Kerri started attending Amy’s fitness classes in the community. Their bond deepened when they found their lives becoming ‘quite parallel’, as Amy puts it. Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, and when Kerri received the same diagnosis in 2024, they were suddenly navigating treatment together.

have an alcohol alternative that was new on the market and it was so horrible that
I just gave up and thought, oh well,
I’ll have prosecco then,’ says Kerri. The next morning, feeling decidedly worse for wear, they made a pact: they needed to create their own drink.
Neither woman had any background in drinks production – Kerri works in PR and Amy teaches fitness, careers they juggle alongside busy family lives. But they threw themselves into research with determination.
‘We were saying if only there was a drink that would give you that “one or two drinks” feeling, but it’s good for you and you wouldn’t have a hangover,’ says Kerri. They bought supplements, trawled through online research about mood-elevating ingredients and explored what the market already offered.
The breakthrough came........
