The Broads Internal Drainage Board (IDB) has agreed to bring forward the replacement of Repps Pumping Station into its wider Upper Thurne Integrated Drainage Improvement Project.

This expansion will see four pumping stations delivered as part of the current phase of the project, with construction work already "well under way" in Martham, Potter Heigham and Brograve.

The IDB says this is a "major programme of investment to replace or refurbish pumping stations whose infrastructure has, in many cases, significantly exceeded its original design life".
