The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denies attempting to murder the 15-year-old girl at Thorpe St Andrew School in Norwich.

On Tuesday the Hon Mr Justice Lickley, who has presided over the 11-day trial at King's Lynn Crown Court, addressed the jury of four men and eight women before sending them out to consider their verdict.
