Safrron Cole-Nottage, 32, died at the scene of a huge emergency response which descended on The Esplanade area at about 8pm on Sunday, February 2.

The inquest into her death was formally opened at Suffolk Coroners' Court on Friday.

The court heard that during the evening of February 2, Ms Cole-Nottage and her daughter had been walking along the narrow coastal path next to sea defence rocks.
