Balochistan’s reality
IF the state is to bring peace to Balochistan, then its representatives must face the ground realities. However, holders of high office at times almost trivialise the province’s problems. For example, at an event in Quetta recently, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said there was no insurgency in the province, but that some elements were promoting separatist ideas. He added that it was incorrect to attribute unrest in Balochistan to lack of development. Mr Bugti asked the youth to distinguish between “facts and perceptions”.
