Don Jr. & Bettina Anderson’s Wedding: Top Snubs & Surprises

5 0
26.05.2026

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson got married on a private island in the Bahamas on Saturday, May 23.

This was a bit of a surprise. First, Don Jr.’s previous engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle lasted four years; it appears he’s known the Palm Beach socialite for only two years, and they’ve been betrothed for less than six months. Second, various tabloid reports recently claimed (nonsensically) the Trump-Anderson nuptials were “on hold” indefinitely due to the Iran war.

The most notable thing about Don Jr.’s second wedding is who wasn’t there. When asked about his eldest son’s wedding last week, President Trump said he was “going to try and make it,” but “this is not good timing for me.” The president ultimately did not attend, and he wasn’t the only Trump to skip Don Jr.’s big day.

Here are all the wedding snubs and surprises that you (and President Trump) might have missed.

SURPRISE: Don Jr. and Bettina Anderson were technically already married.

The couple’s marriage license reveals that they first tied the knot in Florida on Thursday, May 21, hours after President Trump announced he probably wouldn’t make it to the Bahamas. People reported:

The document, which they applied for on May 14, bears Don J. and Bettina’s signatures and indicates that the couple was married at Bettina’s twin sister Kristina Anderson McPherson’s home in West Palm Beach, Fla.Bettina’s brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson, officiated the wedding, the license shows.

SURPRISE: There are more weird wedding explanations.

“Sources close to the couple” need to get their stories straight. We were previously told that Don and Anderson were marrying in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend because either (a) they were concerned about the optics of holding a lavish White House wedding amid the Iran war or (b) they wanted an intimate family ceremony (that Don’s dad couldn’t attend).

Over the weekend, a People source also........
