Industry leaders have paid tribute to Paul Richardson, the former WPP finance chief, who has died at the age of 68.

Richardson oversaw WPP’s finances during the "go-go years" under Sir Martin Sorrell when the UK agency group made a string of huge acquisitions, including Y&R, Tempus, Grey Group and Taylor Nelson Sofres, and reached a £24bn valuation........
