As most of the country is still dealing with a deep freeze, anyone who has braved the roads has no doubt relied on their defrosters.

President Donald Trump needs to defrost ICE and pull back federal agents in Minneapolis. 

After the second death on Jan. 24 of an American at the hands of federal agents, tensions are through the roof. 

The Trump administration should take the high road and temporarily pause federal immigration operations in the city until the situation calms and thorough investigations into what happened can take place. 

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat and 2024 vice presidential nominee, has politicized Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s involvement in his state for weeks and has only fanned the unrest that’s been building. 

Following the death of nurse Alex Pretti, who was shot by U.S. Border Patrol agents, the governor held a news conference in which he dangerously – and absurdly – compared Trump’s immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities to how the Nazis treated Jews in World War II, invoking Anne........
