How is Katie Pavlich preparing to interview Trump? I asked.
If you’ve spent any time watching Fox News in the past 13 years, chances are you’ve come across Katie Pavlich.
The longtime editor of Townhall.com also served as a contributor to Fox and frequently appeared on popular shows like “Outnumbered,” “The Five” and “Hannity.” She’s also the author of two books.
Now, Pavlich is starting her own show on NewsNation. “Katie Pavlich Tonight” debuted Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. ET.
She also landed a big interview in her first week. Pavlich will be interviewing President Donald Trump at the White House on Jan. 20, to mark the first full year of his second term.
Notably, Pavlich will be the only female conservative anchoring a weekday cable news prime-time show. She wants to use her show to tackle the biggest news of the day and as a platform to give all voices a fair hearing.
I recently spoke with Pavlich about her new show, her upcoming interview with Trump and the future of the conservative movement.
Our interview has been edited for length and clarity.
NewsNation, over the last five years, has really built a new network, and they’ve really established themselves as a credible source. And now they’re seeing this amazing opportunity for an appetite for conservative opinion and news in prime time.
I’m looking forward to doing that every single night.
But in terms of framing the show, I've been based in Washington, DC, for a long time, but traveled back and forth to New York. I’m going to be here now full-time, Monday through Friday, and things are happening........
