What Can I Say?

Things could look better.

One thing I don’t like is when people complain for the wrong reasons. Imagine being at the airport. You ran to get to your gate, only to find out that the plane is delayed. Parched, you make your way over to the wildly overpriced airport store to get a Coke. Your brain can hear the bubbles, and you imagine your favorite beverage dancing in your mouth. As you look in their refrigerator, you see Fanta, 7-Up, and RC Cola. No Coke. You don’t like any of those drinks, and you just want a Coke and a smile. But it isn’t there. What are you going to do? Leave the airport, drive to Costco, pick up a Coke and go through security again? Will you complain for the next five hours about how you needed a Coke but none was to be found? Or will you swallow your pride and drop $5 for a 500 mL bottle of not-Coke?

In November 2024, we had a choice between two candidates: Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala “Cackles” Harris. Every person can fantasize about who else would have been the perfect candidate, but those fantasies are worth as much as shares of Enron today. Those were our only choices. Period. And even if Donald Trump were to spend the next two and a half years looking out the White House window at his UFC octagon, he will still have accomplished more than Kamala Harris could have ever done even in eight years in office. A train running in the wrong direction, however fast, sleek and well-appointed, will still not get you where you need to go. When a sitting vice president tells a meeting her pronouns and what she is wearing, then Heaven have mercy on the country that elevates her to anything beyond Walmart greeter. So Donald Trump, with his first term and the hell that Democrats and shooters put him through during his break, was the only choice for president.

There is much good that the president........
