How do we recognize hatred when it changes its language? This is one of the central questions driving Decoding Antisemitism, a new institutional project by the Brazilian Israelite Confederation (CONIB), to be launched on September 2 at Unibes Cultural in São Paulo.

Designed as a permanent initiative to confront antisemitism, the project goes far beyond recording expressions of hate. Its goal is to understand, explain, and make visible the mechanisms that allow prejudice to cross generations, adapt to new contexts, and reappear in different forms. Education, training, monitoring, and advocacy will be the pillars of this effort.

More than documenting explicit manifestations of hate, the project begins with a central question: how do we confront antisemitism when it is not recognized as such? The book seeks to provide tools for society to face it, says CONIB president Claudio Lottenberg.
