Rashi had an interesting explanation as to how Moshe Rabbeinu killed the Egyptian hitting a Jew. He interprets, “smiting the Egyptian,” to mean that he killed him by using the שם המפורש, the ineffable Divine Name.

This gives us a bit of an understanding of what made the Temple service on Yom........
