With temperatures skyrocketing and exam time over, it’s the perfect time for an old-school Town versus Gown dust-up.

It’s part of what makes the city great and even led to the creation of second-rate institution Cambridge University when academics fled from locals 800 years ago.

However, this latest argument – around car parking provision at new-build developments – is far from traditional.
