For more than two centuries, the global framework of material and ideational power has largely been defined by the West. The phenomenon of the Industrial Revolution, colonial expansion, the establishment of institutions, and scientific breakthroughs after the Second World War have positioned North America and Europe as the main pillars of global politics and knowledge production. At a tactical and strategic level, the West occupies the significant position of reframing the contours of perception management and narrative building. However, the 21st century is witnessing a pivotal historical transition. The rise of the Global East, in addition to its economic aspects, is a geopolitical, intellectual and civilisational transformation that is reshaping the contours of the international system.

The conceptual explication of the Global East extends beyond the geographical dimension. It encompasses the resurgence of Asian civilisations, emerging economies, and the increasing level of confidence among societies that seek to contribute to global governance without exclusively relying on Western models. Countries such as China, India, the Gulf states, Singapore and several Central Asian economies are combining indigenous traditions with technological innovation to produce alternate models of development.
