Fetterman says Fauci was ‘a little fixated on his own fame’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) said Wednesday that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former chief White House medical adviser, was “a little fixated on his own fame.”

“I do think it’s entirely appropriate to really hold Fauci accountable, but I don’t think it’s really appropriate to pound an 85-year-old man, 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 10 minutes, just to try to humiliate the guy,” Fetterman told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, referencing Wednesday’s Senate hearing with the doctor.

“You know, I didn’t really appreciate — he does seem like he was a little fixated on his own fame,” he continued. “That wasn’t, like, his best look, but overall, at some point, hey, it was excessive, you know?”

Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights more than 100 times in the roughly three-hour hearing before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, of which Fetterman........
