The city of San Francisco sued Truth Social’s parent company Monday over delayed Truth Social posts made by President Trump that users can receive early access to if they pay $100,000.

The city’s attorney, David Chiu, argued that Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) violated California’s Unfair Competition Law, a state law against insider trading.

The lawsuit alleges that the company set the price for early access to make financial gains for itself while wealthy traders view government information before the public does.

“These everyday investors are placed at a substantial disadvantage to sophisticated firms willing and able to pay extraordinary sums for advanced access to market-moving information,” Chiu wrote in the lawsuit. “Trump Media’s scheme is unprecedented in its monetization of nonpublic........
