Former DNC chair fires back at Psaki for ‘deputy president’ jab
Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Jaime Harrison on Friday fired back at MS NOW host Jen Psaki after she accused him of seeking a “deputy president” role.
Psaki made the remark in an interview on the “Nobody Knows Anything” podcast, where she said Harrison thought he would “have a seat at the policy-making table” as the party chair. She added that that was not the job, rather that it was “to raise money and to attack the other party.”
She contrasted Harrison with his successor, Ken Martin, who she said had “actually won stuff” and was “not some Washington inside person.”
“With due respect @jrpsaki, I think maybe we spoke once while you were at the White House… so I’m not sure how you would know what I thought,” Harrison wrote on the social platform X.
Harrison added that the DNC should be “empowered to do its job” in communicating to voters and organizing and not work as “a subsidiary whose tweets, press releases, and routine decisions required constant White House approval.”
