County commission in Las Vegas approves Flavor Flav’s request for parade honoring female athletes
A county commission in Las Vegas is giving the go-ahead to Flavor Flav to organize a parade and multi-day series of events in honor of female athletes.
The 67-year-old rapper, who was born William Drayton, had personally pitched the idea for a “SHE Weekend” of events — poised to include a concert and parade — before the Clark County commission.
“I’m honored to be able to bring these United States Olympic athletes to Las Vegas,” Flavor Flav said, telling the commission his vision was to do “something real good and great for these female athletes that won gold this year.”
“I’m a girl dad and I’m a big supporter of women’s sports,” the Public Enemy co-founder said.
