New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who also owns Gillette Stadium, doubled down on his decision to shut Macklemore out over the latter’s support for Palestine.

Kraft, apparently convinced that owning the stadium gives him a say in Ed Sheeran’s touring lineup, managed to undercut his own argument in a statement issued Monday.

“Gillette Stadium has a longstanding commitment to providing a welcoming environment for all guests,” Kraft said — before doing precisely the opposite, slamming the door on Macklemore and making it abundantly clear that the welcome only extends so far.

Kraft’s statement said the venue had an obligation to ensure “that events held at our venue do not provide a platform for hate speech.”

His statement straddled a fine line.
