Apologies for the lack of a Tuesday newsletter this week. I ended up getting pretty sick and needed to rest. Still feeling a bit under the weather, so hang with me through this shorter piece and we’ll be back in our normal groove next week.

Conservative women on X are noticing a pattern …
Our social media feeds look a lot like 2020.
I don’t mean sourdough bread loaves, solo hikes, and dalgona coffee (don’t ask). It’s the renewed political hysteria. The anti-ICE posts from female celebrities and influencers are eerily reminiscent of the dreaded Black Lives Matter “black squares” that took over the algorithm after the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020.
Singers Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry, model Bella Hadid, and actresses Amanda Seyfried and Jennifer Aniston have all thrown out anti-ICE rhetoric on their Instagram profiles.
Some brands have gotten in on the action, including Faherty, Lush Cosmetics (famous for their “bath bombs”), and the Whole30 diet.
