MURRAY FOOTE: Labour and Reform’s grubby Fife deal is a terrifying glimpse into the future

The 6th of May 2010 was significant for two events.

It was the day Gordon Brown lost Labour’s 66-seat majority, and the Tories entered Downing St – initially with the LibDems – heralding 14 bleak years under Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak.

The second, less prominent event was when a wannabe MP on the fringe of mainstream politics walked away from a plane crash.

The fortunate politician was then Euro MP Nigel Farage and, because the aircraft was towing a UKIP election banner, a photographer captured the grim aftermath.

It’s no exaggeration to say Farage and the pilot cheated death that day. It was a classic sliding doors moment.

Since then, Farage’s political star has risen from bigmouth sideshow to the man most likely to win the next General Election.

Prime Minister Farage is a prospect that terrifies me and should scare the bejesus out of you, too.

He is an unscrupulous shyster who masquerades as a man of the people when he is simply the frontman for the vested interests of the millionaire class who bankroll his and their selfish objectives.

If you believe these London-centric millionaires are funding Farage for him to act in the best interests of your average Dundonian,........
