Lessons to take as Swindon Town lose to ten-man Walsall
Swindon Town failed to win their opening match of the season for the fourth season in a row as they went down 2-1 against ten-man Walsall.
A stunning free kick from Evan Weir had Walsall in an early lead, before Brandon Comley’s sending off for frantically dragging down Aaron Drinan as he raced clear appeared to turn the tables.
Town had plenty of the ball, but could not break through until Will Wright converted his fourth opening day goal in five matches from the spot, but Connor Barrett still had the ability to win it in stoppage time.
As Swindon made a frustrating start to their season, what did we learn about the team?
